Spinal Fusion

Well, tomorrow is the day.  I'm having neck surgery to fuse C5-C6 and C6-C7.  I'm looking forward to post-recovery, but not looking forward to the surgery and recovery itself. 

I've heard different things about how recovery is.  Some people have said "take your time, rest, you won't feel like doing anything for many weeks".  Some have said "oh, so & so went back to work after a week".  While I have no desire to go back to work after a week, I'd like to know that I am not gonna have to sit around doing absolutely nothing for 6-8 weeks.

I do intent, about week 4, to make a baby shower cake/cupcakes.  I'm actually very excited about that.  I hope it turns out like I invision.  I'll let you know.
